This vase depicts a bold Om symbol contrasting against a ghostly white crackle glaze. Raku is a traditional Japanese firing that dates back to the 16th century. This technique involves removing the pottery from the kiln at approximately 1000 degrees celcius! 


Raku pottery is decorative only, and is not suited to hold water.
